Mayor's Column Recently the Council received correspondence from our Federal Local Member, Andrew Gee, advising us of some newly announced grant opportunities for non-profit community groups. The first grant opportunity is the Australia Post Community Grant program. This program provides grants of up to $10,000 For more information on this grant opportunity, go to the Australia Post website (auspost.com.au) and search for the community grants program. Applications need to be submitted by 1 July 2024 The second opportunity is the Community Investment Program sponsored by Regis Resources Applications are now open for the June 2024 Community Investment round. With grants up to $1000, Regis Resources will be funding projects in the focus areas of environment, agriculture, education, health, tourism, community development and sports. Additionally, we are adding a private consultation room to ensure members have a confidential environment for their personalised health and fitness discussions.
