This funding is long overdue and badly needed. Since the storm and flood disaster hit our region almost one year ago, both state and federal governments have failed to deliver proper and adequate disaster support to the residents of our devastated region It's been particularly galling to see hundreds of millions of dollars being funnelled to the Northem Rivers region while our residents got a tiny fraction of that assistance. The continuing delay to provide disaster support to our area has been a disgrace and is a shameful episode, It a failure by the previous state government which had four and a half months to act but didn't, and an ongoing failure Tourists exploring the Central Tablelands Twill enjoy an especially warm welcome at Oberon Visitor Information Centre, which has recently undergone a stunning half a million-dollar makeover! As the home of the Jenolan Caves and Kanangra Walls, Mayfield Garden and Lake Oberon, many fascinating museums and a spread of foodie adventures, Oberon is a gold mine of great experiences. Oberon's visitor economy took a massive hit due to the Black Summer Bushfires of 2019/2020. In what was normally the busiest time that year, the rush of summer holiday tourists came to a grinding halt.
