Through the generations, the auxiliary has done an enormous amount of work to make it's hospital and town a better place. It says so much about the caring and close knit nature of the Oberon community that out of the depths of WW2 the community came together to form the auxillary which is still going strong today. From making pyjamas for patients who didn't have any, to providing the hospital with lifesaving equipment and much-needed furnishings, the Oberon Hospital Auxillery has made an enormous contribution to the Oberon region and our nation for eight decades. I was delighted to present the Auxillary with an 80th anniversary certificate on this memorable occasion.
